Desire courses through me as he deepens the kiss, his hand dropping to my hip and kneading the flesh there. I want every inch of him beneath, above, behind me. I don’t much care how it happens, just that it does.

I’ve seen more sexy movies than a horny teenager at this point, because I was trying to save myself for marriage. My virginity should have been the key to a better life as the Draco pack’s beta.

But that better life means shit to me, because it doesn’t actually exist. I was promised a fallacy. It just took me twenty-three years to realize it. And it wasn’t until tonight that I realized how damned hungry I am.

I’ve been starved, and Jack is the only one able to feed me.

Pulling away from him, I hold his gaze as I take a step back and reach behind me, tugging at the laces tucked into the bottom of my corset. They come free, and I pull on the ends, gripping the base of my corset in the back and loosening it.

Jack’s hungry gaze holds mine the entire time, the barely banked animal beneath the surface struggling at his hold.

That’s the rumor about hunters, though—that they’re just as much the animal as we are. The difference is they channel it by killing other monsters.

My corset opens in the back, so I grab the front and pull it away from my body. The warm air washes over my breasts, and Jack sucks in a breath as he stares at me like I’m the most beautiful woman in the world.

“Fuck, Willa.”

“Your turn.”

He reaches for his jacket, undoing the two buttons before tossing it to the side. Slowly, he undoes the cuff links, dropping them on top of his jacket.

And as he watches me, he undoes the buttons of his shirt. Each inch of him revealed tells a story, and I watch—completely hypnotized—as he undresses. Tanned skin is stretched over taut muscle. Scars mar his otherwise perfect skin, showcasing the body of a warrior.

I move toward him as he undoes the last button, and I slip my hands beneath the white fabric.
